Overview

3C Character

    • The chain and ball restrict the player’s movements
    • But he can use the ball and chain to interact with the scenery.

Level design section

First step

  • First, the player learns to throw the cannonball to break objects.

  • Then, they traverse a longer distance to get comfortable with movement and navigation.

First encounter

  • The first encounter with the monster is direct and intense

  • The player to react quickly and flee in panic toward the exit.

Platformer phase

  • The second phase focuses on platforming.

  • I designed this section to change the gameplay pace and to train the player to use the ball and chain as part of their interaction with the environment.

Puzzle phase

  • I designed this puzzle as a riddle.

  • Once solved, the monster appears, disrupting the player’s plan.

  • The goal was to build tension and force the player to react quickly under pressure.

  • This room serves as the final puzzle of the game.

  • The player must find three switches to activate a machine that breaks their chains.

  • The monster suddenly appears, disrupting the player’s plan at the last moment.
